The IMAGE of the Beast

This is an excerpt from the book “The Revelation OF Jesus Christ”.  In order to fully understand the significance of what is said here it is needful to obtain a copy of said book  “The Revelation OF Jesus Christ” so that you can see the revealing of  all that comes before and all that comes after these few verses our of the Book of Revelation; as the Book of Revelation is a book of SYMBOLS from the first to the last unveiling.  ALL THINGS ARE CERTAINLY NOT AS THEY SEEM.

Revelation 13:11 – And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon

Throughout the unveiling thus far we have seen a progression of events.  First, the fourth, of the earth/earthy, the Church in Thyatira, and then her daughters. The Lord does, in accordance with his Word, “all things decently and in order” (1Corinthians 14:40).  As that is the case, then what we should begin to see now is that which was born of, or what came out of, the Harlot.

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth” This beast did not come up out of, or proceed forth from the sea (the multitude of the lost) as did all the other beasts which rose up before it in the Scriptures.  This beast came up out of the earth, that is the earthy/carnal mind of man.

“And he had two horns like a lamb” Two, points to unity, fellowship, strength or agreement.  Horns speak of seats of power or authority, that is kingdoms. Lamb is symbolic of meekness, gentleness and being a follower, the very Nature of the Lord Jesus.  Here we see a beast, which points to its bestial nature, but has commonality of purpose in its two kingdoms.  It also appears that these two horns are like, that is similar to, the very Nature, the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Though this beast has two horns he is seen, by the Lord, as a single beast:  therefore, HE.

“And he spake as a dragon”  We discovered, in our unveiling of Revelation 12:3, that the word dragon denotes a mythical monster, a dragon; also a large serpent, so called, because of its keen power of sight.  This two horned lamb like one speaks as if it has great insight into the things of God, but it is a beast. What we have before us is a picture of the two daughters of the Great Harlot.  And, as we have understood, the daughters are the Eastern Orthodox Church and Protestantism in its entirety.  To the earthy, and the world, they do seem to have the very nature of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:12 – And he exercised all the power of the first beast before him, and caused the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed

“And he exercised all the power of the first beast before him”.  The first beast before this beast out of the earthy is none other than the Roman Empire, which was butchered into pieces and its deadly wound was healed. For, as we have seen, in A.D. 538, with the removal of the tenth little horn from the city of Rome, it came to life and later become known as the Holy Roman Empire. Because of this miraculous healing the Harlot, also known as that man of sin, is now the first beast, for the dragon has given her/him, “his power, and his seat, and great authority” (Revelation 13:2).

“And caused the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed”.  The out of the earth beast exercises all the same authority as that of the fourth, of the earth/earthy, the misguided caricature of the Church, the Church in Thyatira, for this two horned beast came out of HER.  Between these two daughter harlot’s (both from the mind of man as they are man made systems) have caused all them that dwell in the earth/earthy realm to worship, that is to kiss the Harlot.  For, when you kiss her offspring, you KISS HER.

“Whose deadly wound was healed”.  In this we see clearly that we are looking at the Roman Empire. It is the only Empire ever to seem to have been absolutely fragmented to death, and then be resurrected into that which was later called the Holy Roman Empire. This Holy Roman Empire ruled all the land mass of the original Empire for a period of one thousand two hundred and sixty years.

Revelation 13:13 – And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men

There have been many great signs and wonders performed by this beast over the years.  Reformation, great awakenings, moves of the Spirit, etc..  The Protestant horn of this beast does make fire come down out of heaven in the presence of men, as it does preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and him crucified.  And, as the Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation, the fire of God does indeed come down by the which men are saved.  It is after their salvation that those who are saved get trapped by this two horned beast, and can never rise up and take their place as overcomers.

Revelation 13:14 – And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live

“And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast”.   The things which this one does looks good, but they are, “great swelling words of vanity”  (2Peter 2:18) thereby deceiving those who have not understood these matters unveiled here in The Book of Revelation.  He does these wonders in the presence of the first beast, as it is still here.

“That they should make an image to the beast”.  The Greek word eikon, here interpreted image, means a likeness, that is, (literally) statue, profile, or (figuratively) representation, resemblance: – image. We see it written that the Lord Jesus, “is the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15).  Therefore, an image, in the context of what we have before us, would be a representation, a resemblance of the first beast.  So, what does the first beast look like?  It is a religious system that was formed from the mind of carnal man.  It has an unholy marriage to a beast, that is to secular government.  Its forms and rituals are a replacement for the complete assembling together of the body.  Its priests, its leaders, its shepherds, its STARS establish the doctrine and lord it over God’s flock.  It has a form of godliness but denies the power thereof, thereby keeping the saints in the realm of the earthy.  As we come to understand the TRUTH the image is unmistakable.

“Which had the wound by a sword, and did live”.  The first beast, which was butchered to death, was the secular Roman Empire. The beast that is being referred to here is the fourth, of the earth/earthy, manifestation of the Church, the Church in Thyatira.  As it was this beast, this man of sin Great Harlot kingdom, which had the wound by the sword; that sword wound being inflicted by the military might of the French General Berthier in 1798 A.D.  And, as we saw, was brought back to life exactly three and one half years later.  Therefore, the fourth, of the earth/earthy, manifestation of the Church, the Church in Thyatira (Church Catholic), is the one which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 13:15 – And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed

Again: “And to him it was given to give life to the resemblance of the beast, in order that the resemblance of the beast might speak, to make as many as would not, kiss the resemblance of the beast that shall be killed”.

This beast, out of the earthy, carnal mind of man, is given authority to give life, that is breath, to this resemblance to the beast which was before it so that the image might speak:  the beast which was before it being the fourth, of the earth/earthy manifestation of the Church. The purpose of this image speaking is to cause those who would not kiss the first beast to kiss its image.  In the end though, we see that this image of the beast shall be killed.  In this Light we can see the Spirit of the Word.

For, as it is written, “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone” (Revelation 19:20).  In this we clearly see who will be killed.  We know these are not physical beasts, nor is there a physical false prophet, but it is those unclean spirits, which have worked through the carnal minds of the earthy and perpetrated this deception, they will certainly go there. We will discover the truth of the false prophet as we proceed with the unveiling.

Revelation 13:16 – And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads

Everyone, who is a participant in this unholy trinity has a spiritual mark, a stamp of servitude, upon the right hand, which speaks of fellowship with the beast. In the forehead points to having been, “renewed in the spirit of your mind”  (Ephesians 4:23) by this one:  as those who serve in it have, knowingly or unknowingly, become mentally subservient to the beasts teachings and doctrines.

Revelation 13:17 – And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name

If you want to do commerce in or with this beast you have to have the mark.  If you cannot prove you are marked, an authorized member of this one, you are not allowed to speak.  If you do manage to speak, and it is anything contrary to what is perceived as Truth you will soon be out of there.

THIS IS THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, PREPARE YOU THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE STRAIGHT HIS PATHS.  Amen.
