In order to properly SEE and understand the position of a Christian, with respect to the Lord Jesus, it is necessary for us to SEE what God has to say about such matters. So, we are going to set forth the Scriptures that bring out God’s thought, His prospective, concerning the body of Christ and how we, as Christians, fit into how He SEES things. For us, as believers, being able to SEE things from God’s point of view is essential, as it is the only way to properly enter into the things of God. This fact holds especially true for seeing the truths concerning the Lord Jesus (the Head) and His body (the Church) which is revealed in the book “The Revelation OF Jesus Christ,” which is an unveiling of the entire Book of Revelation, from the first verse to the last.

Therefore, let us proceed on to see: THE BODY OF CHRIST REVEALED

Ephesians 3:4-6 – “Whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the MYSTERY OF CHRIST which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is NOW revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel.”

Colossians 1:24-27 – “Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body’s sake, which is the Church: whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Colossians 1:18 – “And He is the Head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.”

Ephesians 5:29-30 – “For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church: for WE ARE members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.”

Romans 12:4-5 – “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”

Ephesians 4:11-16 – “And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till WE all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in ALL things, which is the Head Christ: from Whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, making increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”

Ephesians 4:4-6 – “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

Ephesians 2:10-21 – “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Wherefore remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made close by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of two ONE NEW MAN, so making peace; and that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were close. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Corner Stone; in Whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord.”

1Corinthians 12:12-27 – “For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is CHRIST. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased Him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. No, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: and those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked: that there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now YOU ARE THE BODY of CHRIST, and members in particular.”

1Corinthians 10:16-17 – “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that One Bread.”

1Corinthians 6:15-20 – “Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know you not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, says He, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. What? know you not that YOUR BODY is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Colossians 3:9-11 – “Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him: where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.”

Ephesians 1:22-23 – “And has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the Head over all to the church, WHICH IS HIS BODY, the fulness of Him that fills all in all.”

Colossians 3:15 – “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also YOU are called in one body; and be you thankful.”

Colossians 2:18-19 – “Let no man beguile you of your reward…And not holding the Head, from which ALL the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God.”

Colossians 2:16-17 – “Let no man therefore judge you in…Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body IS of Christ.”

Colossians 2:8-11 – “BEWARE lest any man spoil you through philosophy (Greek φιλοσοφία philosophia {Jewish sophistryA method of argument that is seemingly plausible though actually invalid and misleading}) and empty deceit, after the precepts of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And YOU are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power: in whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.”

Understanding these things are essential to our being able to have a true vision of God’s purpose in and for His body in these last days.

May the love of God and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

THIS IS THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, PREPARE YOU THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE STRAIGHT HIS PATHS! AMEN.
